Expert Mold Designer (XMD) is Cornerstone’s first product of a line of intelligent software. XMD automatically designs mold bases based on its analysis of the part data. Its intelligent components know how they fit in the mold.

Most CAD software is a toolbox for designers to manually assemble designs. Smart designers can use these tools to get the job done. Good! But computers can be so much more than just a toolbox, passively responding to the operator’s commands.

Computers can think. If we try, we can teach computers to "understand" your job. We can explain to the computer what you are trying to create; how it goes together; rules for evaluating good design; how the product will be manufactured. And when the computer knows this, we can get the machine become your assistant; it will collaborate with you.
